God's Helping Hand
God's Helping Hand is a local mission devoted to assisting low income families with home repair and maintenance. Funding and volunteer labor is provided by several West Shore churches. Projects and scheduling are arranged by the leadership of God's Helping Hand. The last project was scheduled for October 17, 18, and 19.

Mt. Zion Church maintains a small food pantry that provides food on an emergency basis. Items are donated by church members. Mt. Zion Church also distributes food to a small number of families from time to time.
The children's Center of enola
The Children's Center of Enola was launched at Mt. Zion Church, and is currently located at 110 Altoona Avenue in Enola. It serves children from six months to five years of age, and is a one of two sites served by The Children's Center Affiliated Child Care Center, Inc. The Children's Center offers income based tuition, and provides flexible enrollment options. Donations from area churches are used to provide in-house scholarships for families in need. Mt. The crochet group of Mt. Zion visits and distributes lap covers to the residents at Forrest Park in Carlisle. This group of six faithful women meets throughout the year. They find it a blessing and a joy to be able to hand deliver the covers they make to the residents in person.
Carlisle Truck Stop Ministry
Each year Mt. Zion Church delivers a touch of home and the love of Christ by donating packages of home made Christmas cookies to the Carlise Truck Stop Ministry, who distributes the cookies to the drivers over the holidays. This past year Mt. Zion Church donated 86 packages of cookies.
New Hope Ministries
New Hope Ministries is a Christian social service agency that shares the love and hope of Christ by providing assistance with food, utilities, rent, housing, medical referrals, transportation, job fairs, and life skill classes.
Mt. Zion Church collects food for New Hope Ministries on a weekly basis, provides volunteers, and also serves as a funding partner in its ongoing efforts.
